Will be picking my Storm 17 kit up in a couple of weeks and my wife sees it as an opportunity to have a few days away. What are peoples recommendations for a b&b/hotel/pub to stay at in the area. Not worried to much as long as its clean, has good food and en-suit rooms. Also any ideas of what to do in the area. (apart from sailing)
The Cliff Hotel has spectacular views, and is very near to Swallow Boats. It has a golf course, spa and restaurant. We enjoyed a night there on 28 November when I picked up my BR17 kit. It was a bit dead (2 couples including us) in the restaurant, but the food was acceptable, and we are talking Sunday night, well out of season.
We also stayed for a few days at the Carpenter\\\'s Arms in Llechryd in October. A bit further away, but a good basic B&B with restaurant in the evening. Rooms are larger than you might expect and very clean.
If I couldn\\\'t get a booking at one, I\\\'d happily stay at the other.
There are plenty nice walks around the hills and coast in this area.
I used this watering hole when i picked up my bayraider, not expensive but impressive and comfortable. We used the local pub for evening meal (Walking Distance from the hotel)
Go Here! http://www.nant-y-croi.co.uk/ It is where we stayed when we came for our test sail. Just beyond Gwbert and absolutley glorious. The breakfast alone will keep you going for the whole day. Beautifaul setting and footpath down to the beach.
Even if you cant get a room here (always booked up - you will see why when you visit) its well worth getting a table. Best food in the area. Dont take MY word for it- read the reviews! Book early.

Down sides:- Not cheap. (Thats ME talking - my wife would pay double the asking price!) No draught beer last time I was there. (Good bottled stuff, though.) However, you wont miss it if you are there to eat.
