We are sadly parting with our Sandpiper built for us by Nick Newland in 2001.  She is lively, fun, intriguing and pretty to look at (see photo below).  Designed for 1-2 people with all controls at one\\\'s fingertips, she is very satisfying to sail.  There is a lovely sense of speed as the narrow hull slices through waves.  The sail design and leeboard give good performance to windward.  Her light weight (16kg) and shallow draught means she is ideal for exploring less frequented waterways.  She is easily lifted and transported by roof rack.  In terms of fun, ease of use and amount of sailing time, the Sandpiper is difficult to beat.
