I have two Andersen self bailers in the sump on my BR (a large and a mini) and neither of them will stay open for any length of time. The wire frame is an elegant way of keeping them closed and sealed. Does anyone have a similarly elegant solution to keeping them open? At the moment, I am resorting to pressing them down with my feet, which can only be done one side at a time!

Thin piece of bungee cord with a loop each end. Stretch it between the rear fixing screws and around the wire frame. If you have enough screw showing to get another nut on this will stop the cord slipping off.
