Paint
Customers building their own boats are free to choose the paint system and colour of their choice. Swallow Boats recommend International Yacht Paints and tend to offer this range on boats that we build. You should visit their website, www.yachtpaint.com and follow the link to their product guide, and then to "finishes and undercoats". You can then request a brochure on their website which should give you the full range of colour choices.
We tend to use their 2 pack "Perfection" paints but have had good results with their "Brightside" and "Toplac" systems too, which come in a slightly different set of colours.
FYI, the paint scheme for the Perfection system is shown below, as the International website is not the easiest to navigate.

Sail Colours
Sails are available in cream or white as standard. Other colours (tan is very popular) are available on request. Sail colour should be specified as early as possible as the sailmakers appreciate advanced warning (so do we!). For comparison, most of the boats on this website have cream sails.


Spray Hood Colours
The full colour swatch for the acrylic canvas material available for hoods is shown below. Please choose the colour by reading off the number next to it. Then put this number down on your invoice/order form next to the sprayhood option.

Cover Colours
All our covers are made from an off-white material that keeps the temperature down inside but is also very tough and hard wearing.


Spinnaker Colours
Some boats have Asymmetric spinakers, The choices for these can be seen below. Please read off the number or numbers on the swatch and enter this on your invoice/order form next to the asymmetric spinnaker option.
